Priceright Parts and Machinery Ltd. is a family owned organisation established in 1978 by the late Chris Barns and now owned by his Wife Jill. The company was formed after the closure of Chris’ fathers company Lion Machinery that sold used Caterpillar machinery imported from Japan and machinery imported from Vietnam that became redundant at the conclusion of the Vietnam War.
Priceright Parts began importing after-market Caterpillar spare parts from Italy, Cummins engine parts, Detroit and Allis Chalmers parts and soon started a full workshop service.
During 1997 Halla Engineering offered Priceright Parts the exclusive New Zealand agency for their range of Excavators and Wheel Loaders and within a short time Priceright Parts had sold in excess of 100 units.
During 1997 the company’s Head Office moved into a purpose built building in Rotorua. The expansion was necessary to accommodate the increase of machinery and parts sales. The company also experienced substantial growth in the engineering of Forestry Guarding packages for both bulldozers & excavators and now employs in excess of 25 staff at its Rotorua facility.
In 2006 Priceright secured the Doosan agency in the Central North Island and currently focuses on Sales and Service of New and used Doosan machines in that area. The company also has the ability to source a comprehensive range of product from Wheel Loaders to Excavators and Bulldozers through an established network of Machinery Dealers around the world.
From our purpose built facility in Rotorua we are able to offer a wide range of professional services for most makes and models of heavy machinery.
